Vennene Maria, Markus og Berat er alle i tenårene, og blir utfordret til å velge en strategi for livet i løpet av en mørk natt full av konfrontasjoner. Bør de nærme seg fremtiden med en plan eller adlyde skjebnen?
Maria flytter til Amerika som utvekslingsstudent, og forteller sin kjæreste, Markus, at hun ikke kan forplikte seg til ham fordi hun finner det vanskelig å forutsi fremtiden. Flyet hennes kan bli kapret eller hennes nye mor kan være en seriemorder. Markus er redd for at Maria og hans beste venn, Berat, vil vokse fra ham og beskylder dem begge for ikke å leve i nuet. Han føler at de begge fokuserer på og går mot en mer spennende fremtid, og frykter at han vil bli etterlatt og glemt. Berat, på utsiden av paret, prøver å hjelpe dem gjennom sine vanskeligheter. Han sliter med sine egne erfaringer fra krigen i Kosovo, han er hjemsøkt av minnet om sitt første kyss med en jente som senere døde. Når konflikten mellom de tre vennene utvikler seg, begynner deres fortid og nåtid å ligne på en uventet måte.
The teenage friends Maria, Markus and Berat are challenged to choose a strategy for life, through a dark night of confrontations. Should they approach the future with a plan or obey destiny?
Maria is moving to America as an exchange student, and tells her boyfriend, Markus, that she cant commit to him because she finds it difficult to predict the future. Her plane might get hijacked or her new mother might be a serial killer. Markus is afraid that Maria and his best friend, Berat, will grow past him and accuses them both of not living for today. He feels they both are focusing and heading towards a more exciting future, and fears that he will be left behind and forgotten. Berat apart from the couple tries to talk them trough their difficulties. Struggling with his own experiences from the war in Kosovo, he is haunted by the memory of his first kiss with a girl that later died. As the conflict between the three friends progresses, their past and presence starts to resemble in an unexpected way.

PRESIDENTEN FRA BASTØY FENGSEL / FROM PRISON TO PARLIAMENT (2008)
To år før det dramatiske valget i Kenya i 2007 sitter norsk-kenyanske Peter på Bastøy fengsel, dømt for underslag. Medfangene kaller han bare ”Presidenten”, fordi han planlegger å stille til valget i Kenya, som parlamentarisk kandidat.
I fengselet inspirerer han sine innsatte venner med sitt mål: å vinne valget UTEN å kjøpe en eneste stemme. Han skal kjempe for demokratisk utvikling og mot korrupsjon. ”Hvordan jeg kommer til Parlamentet er viktig, ikke bare å komme seg dit; men hvordan kom jeg meg dit”, sier Peter. En demokratisk valgkamp skal handle om valgprogrammer, og ikke almisser for å kjøpe seg stemmer. Cellekameraten Wolf, fra Tyskland, er blant en av dem som planlegger å bli med Peter til Kenya for å hjelpe han i å nå sitt mål.
Peters paradoksale utgangspunkt er underslaget han gjorde i UDI, Utlendingsdirektoratet, som var hans tidligere arbeidsgiver. Peter innrømmer at underslaget var en stor tabbe, men allikevel et middel på veien mot mer demokrati i eget land.
Målet helliger middelet, og gode råd kan enten følges eller ikke. ”Presidenten” er en dokumentarfilm som utforsker demokratiets premisser og dilemmaer gjennom en mann som reiser seg etter et dypt samfunnsmessig fall.
Filmen følger hans valgkamp, gjennom hardt arbeide og grenseløs optimisme, fra et norsk fengsel og mot det kenyanske Parlamentet.
Do multi-party elections necessarily make a country democratic? What does it take to develop a democracy that actually represents the people?
In 2007 Kenya held elections for the second time since dictator Daniel Arap Moi was defeated by the National Rainbow Coalition in the elections of 2002. The elections resulted in widespread violence and chaos after the announced winner was accused of rigging the vote. For weeks Kenya was in turmoil, until international pressure forced the opposing parties to form a coalition government.
In the documentary film ”From Prison to Parliament” we follow Norwegian-Kenyan Peter O. Ranginya running for a seat in Parliament. His goal is to win the election without handing out bribes, to fight corruption and promote democratic development.
Strange as it may seem, he is planning his campaign in a Norwegian prison, serving time for embezzling the Norwegian government.
The film follows the election, the hard work and Peters unstoppable optimism - from prison and all the way to the Kenyan Parliament.

I den nære og ærlige dokumentaren Jenter møter vi Iselin, Mahsa og deres venner som viser oss hvordan det er å være jente i Norge i dag. Kanskje er det de tøffeste jentene som dem, de som har prøvd og testet det meste tidligere enn de andre, som da må jobbe hardest for å finne seg selv. Det er da det er godt å ha venner. Eller kanskje ikke?
In this close-up and frank documentary Girls we meet Iselin, Mahsa and their friends who show us what it is like to be a girl in Norway today. Perhaps it is the toughest girls like them, the ones that have tried and tested most things before the others, who then need to work hardest at discovering themselves. That is when it is good to have friends. Or maybe not?

Elva bak huset er en mørk og stille oppveksthistorie om ensomhet. Det er en historie om et vennskap mellom to gutter som ikke kan finne fred i livet. En gutt i blått og en gutt i hvitt. To gutter som ser seg selv i hverandre og knyter sammen sine liv på en overraskende måte.
Behind the House is a dark and quiet coming of age story about loneliness. It is a story of a friendship between two boys who can’t find peace in life. A boy in blue and a boy in white. Two boys who see themselves in each other and entangle their lives in a surprising way.

Det Norske Utlendingsdirektoratet antar at 80% av alle som søker asyl lyver om sin bakgrunn. Vi spør; hvordan kommer de frem til sine beslutninger?

For første gang har UDI sluppet inn et filmteam i asylavdelingen, og vi treffer både saksbehandlere og asylsøkere under de skjebnesvangre timene intervjuet tar. Her er tragiske historier, personlige møter og dilemmaer en vanlig del av arbeidsdagen. For søkeren er dette den eneste sjansen for å få lovlig opphold i Europa på. De må overbevise UDI om at deres liv står i fare, og at de trenger vår beskyttelse.

Hvor lykkelig kan du bli? er et forsøk på å lage en praktisk håndbok - "Din guide til lykke" ved å bruke en moderne og vitenskapelig tilnærming: vitenskap, praktiske empiriske forsøk på å måle lykke.
How happy can you be? is an attempt to make the practical manual – “Your guide to happiness” by using a modern, scientific approach: science, practical empirical attempts to measure happiness.

blitz - ute av kontroll / blitz - out of control
Blitz - Ute Av Kontroll er en historisk dokumentar der vi møter unge engasjerte på Blitz, et av de eldste autonome ungdomshusene i Europa. Et hus fylt med punk, politisk engasjement og vafler. Når Oslo kommune forsøker å selge huset, flekser ungdommen sine muskler, bygger barrikader, lover protest og demonstrerer utenfor rådhuset. De forhandler ikke med et byråkrati de ikke har tillit til. Et dårlig rykte er ment å skremme vekk politikere og potensielle kjøpere. "Hvis vi hadde vært hyggelige, ville vi ikke ha beholdt huset".
Out of Control is a historic documentary where we meet the youth engaged at Blitz, one of the oldest autonomic youth houses in Europe. A house filled with punk, political engagement and waffles. When the Municipality of Oslo tries to sell the house, the youth flex their muscles, build barricades, promise protest and demonstrate outside the town hall. They do not negotiate with a bureaucracy they distrust. A bad reputation is meant to scare off politicians and potential buyers. “If we’d been nice, we wouldn’t have kept the house”.

mannen som elsket haugesund / The man who loved haugesund
Moritz Rabinowitz, en kontroversiell mann i en liten norsk fiskeby på 1930-tallet.
Alle i Haugesund har en kleshenger fra M. Rabinowitz i skapet. Bak disse kleshengerne finner vi en eventyrlig historie om en fattig mann fra Polen som forelsker seg i Haugesund. Rabinowitz ble en av byens mest fremgangsrike menn - men ble aldri elsket tilbake. Rabinowitz var en outsider, en som tenkte stort og annerledes - en visjonær. Allerede i 1933 ga han ut en bok der han angrep Hitler og nazismen. Når tyskerne kom til Haugesund var Rabinowitz den første de ville ta. I seks måneder klarte han å holde seg i skjul i distriktet, men i desember 1940 ble han arrestert. Rabinowitz klarte ikke å forlate sitt nye hjemland. Byens reaksjon på hans tragiske skjebne avslører urovekkende fordommer mot Rabinowitz som jøde og immigrant.

Everyone in Haugesund has a clothes hanger from M. Rabinowitz in the closet. Behind these clothes hangers we find an adventurous story about a poor man from Poland who fell in love with Haugesund. Rabinowitz became one of the city's most successful men - but was never loved back. Rabinowitz was an outsider, one who looked at things in a different, more grandiose way - a visionary. Already in 1933 he published a book in which he attacked Hitler and Nazism. When the Germans came to Haugesund, Rabinowitz was the first to go. For six months he managed to hide in the district, but in December 1940 he was arrested. Rabinowitz was unable to leave his new homeland. The city's reaction to his tragic fate reveals disturbing prejudices against Rabinowitz as a Jew and an immigrant.

den hemmelige klubben / the secret club
DEN HEMMELIGE KLUBBEN er en dokumentar om de homofile mennene som startet den første homseklubben i Skandinavia og mennene som ikke turte å bli med. Alt startet i et lite lokalt hus, med hemmelige venner og hemmelige møter. Med humor og et snev av tristhet, husker en gruppe eldre homoseksuelle menn titillerende episoder fra ungdommen, så vel som de negative reaksjonene fra samfunnet. Homoseksualitet ble legalisert i Norge så sent som i 1972.
THE SECRET CLUB is a documentary about the gay men who started the first gay club in Scandinavia and those men who didn`t dare to join them. It all started in a small local house, with secret friends and secret meetings. With humor and a touch of sadness, a group of older homosexuals men recall titillating episodes from their youth, as well as the negative reactions from society. Homosexuality was legalized in Norway as late as 1972.

War on Paranoia er en liten protestfilm om forholdene ved den amerikanske ambassaden i Oslo etter 11. september 2001. Det er også en film som ambassaden prøvde sitt beste for å stoppe fra å bli laget.
War on Paranoia is a small protestfilm on the circumstances at the American embassy in Oslo, Norway after September 11th 2001. It’s also a film the embassy tried its best to stop from being made.

A film about how the remains of the last British colony in Africa is falling to pieces, put under pressure by a racism contradictory to what we are used to.

Dette er den første ekstremsportsvideoen på Base. Materialet har blitt samlet av norske basehoppere over en periode på to år. Videoen inneholder sekvenser av dem som hopper ut av det høyeste hotellet i Oslo gjennom et vindu, de hopper av antenner, spenner, fjellmasser i Romsdalen, Lysefjorden, Voss og praktisk talt alt annet som strekker seg høyt nok til å hoppe fra. Videoen har også unike opptak fra Asia og Europa - det første basehoppet fra en bygning i Kina og det første tannhoppet fra et fjell.

This is the first extreme sport video on Base. It has been assembled by Norwegian basejumpers themselves over a period of two years. The video contains sequences of them ripping off the tallest hotel in Oslo through a hotel room window, antennas, spans, mountain massives in Romsdalen, Lysefjorden, Voss and practically anything else that stretches high enough to jump from. The video also features unique footage from Asia and Europe – the first basejump from a building in China and the first tandem-jump off a mountain.

Nesten to uker før NATO startet bombingen i Jugoslavia, holdt en gruppe serbiske og albanske studenter et møte i Montenegro å finne en løsning for konflikten. Det strenge apartheidsystemet i Kosovo gjorde det umulig for de to gruppene av mennesker å møtes. Før dette møtet hadde noen av aktivistene aldri snakket med noen fra den andre siden. Kan de finne ut og bli enige om noe som kan hjelpe deres land for å unngå totalt kaos?
Nearly two weeks before Nato started their bombing in Jugoslavia, a group of Serbian and Albanian students met in Montenegro to find a resolution for the conflict. The strict apartheid system in Kosovo made it impossible for the two groups of people to meet. Before this meeting hardly any of the activists had ever talked to anyone from the other side. Could they find out and agree on something that could prevail their country from falling into total mayhem?
